Amy Zanrosso
Pianist
Faculty and Piano Chamber Music
Coordinator, SFCM Pre-College Academy
Amy Zanrosso’s playing has been described as expressive, magnetic, and masterful—though since The New York Times hasn’t said it (yet), she’ll refrain from putting it in quotes. Thanks to her attentive Italian immigrant mother, Amy began piano lessons at the age of six, and by fifteen, she had made the bold decision to dedicate her life to music.
As a soloist, Amy has performed with the Santa Rosa Symphony, Symphony of the Kootenays, Russian Chamber Orchestra, Contra Costa Chamber Orchestra, Symphony of the Redwoods, and Kensington Symphony Orchestra. Her deep love of chamber music has not only allowed her to connect more intimately with her favorite composers, but also to collaborate with countless inspiring musicians and share that joy with appreciative audiences.
Amy is currently a faculty member and chamber music coach at both the Pre-College Academy of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and The Nueva School in Hillsborough, California. She is continually energized by her brilliantly inspiring students—whom she gleefully introduces to her favorite composers and lovingly tells what to do.
Special thanks go to Beethoven and Brahms for fueling her journey. She wouldn’t change a thing.
Amy Zanrosso is the winner of the Gooddler Foundation 2025 Piano Teacher Grant.
