Calling on youth (18+) to take part in the Gooddler World Ocean Initiatives accelerator program, focused on the UN SDG 14. This highly individualized program is designed to help youth to accelerate their existing initiatives (startups, non-profits, science projects, etc) aimed at propelling global ocean action. We will help you to take your initiative to the next level and gain exposure.
When: June 1 - July 30, 2022
The program includes an attendance of the highly prestigious UN Ocean Conference, scheduled to take place from 27 June to 1 July 2022, in Lisbon, Portugal. (https://www.un.org/en/conferences/ocean2022)
This program is for those who are creating solutions that are focused on:
Managing, protecting, conserving and restoring marine and coastal ecosystems;
Addressing marine pollution;
Minimizing and addressing ocean acidification, deoxygenation and ocean warming;
Making fisheries sustainable and providing access for small-scale artisanal fishers to marine resources and markets;
Promoting and strengthening sustainable ocean-based economies, in particular for small island developing States and least developed countries;
Increasing scientific knowledge and developing research capacity and transfer of marine technology;
Enhancing the conservation and sustainable use of oceans and their resources by implementing international law, as reflected in the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea; and
Leveraging interlinkages between Sustainable Development Goal 14 and other Goals towards the implementation of the 2030 Agenda.
